Thank you for choosing Waco Family Dentistry to meet your family’s dental needs! Upon entering the building you will walk in to our comfortable reception area where you can have a seat on one of the couches, watch a little TV and prepare yourself a coffee or tea at the coffee bar. Check in with one of our greeters at the front window. If you’ve already printed and filled out your new patient forms then make sure you get those to them. If not, they will provide you with any necessary paperwork. We take great pride in running on time so don’t expect to wait long!
Our focus is on comprehensive care, so on the first appointment we take a lot of images. Don’t worry though, we utilize the very latest in digital x-ray technology from Sirona, so the radiation exposure is up to 95% less than what it used to be with films. Not only is it more convenient, but safer for you and your family. We also take photographs of your teeth, and will display any findings on the computer monitors placed in each room so you can see exactly what’s happening in your mouth, and be an active participant in achieving optimum dental health!
In most cases we schedule our new patients with the hygienist. They will examine your teeth, take measurements of the gum around each tooth, and in the absence of periodontal disease and heavy plaque build-up, will clean your teeth. Make sure you tell them about any concerns you have. We are here to work with you to achieve the very best in dental health, not dictate what we think you need. Your priorities are our priorities!
One of the doctors will come in and do an exam once the hygienist is finished, and will go over any findings or concerns. If any treatment is necessary, the team will go over with you what is recommended, why it is recommended, and go over insurance and financial options.
